The Pumpkin Patch!

This weekend we went to Carolyn's Country Cousin's Pumpkin Patch. The last time we'd gone was in 2008. Last year we couldn't go because Connor was in his Spica cast and it wouldn't have been much fun for him.

The pumpkin patch is designed for kids, and Connor definitely had the most fun out of anyone. Andrea had gotten a cute Halloween outfit for Paige to wear and she looked super cute for her day out. Paige sat in the stroller and was good all day She definitely liked experiencing the sights and sounds. It was a little hot and sunny as the day wore on and we wore out. Connor could have climbed on the playgrounds, gone down the slides, rode the rides, fed the animals and played all day. We all had some good old fashioned fall fun and picked out a nice round pumpkin to be slaughtered.

Connor loved riding the train with Mommy.

Connor was good almost the entire day, he only got in trouble once.

Some beautiful (and BEARDED?) fairies.

The Vernon Uncles and Aunt(s?) visit!

This weekend Chris, Abby, Alex and Laura came to visit us in KC. It was the first time they got to meet Paige and it's been a long time since they'd seen Connor as well.

We went to Corner Cafe for breakfast on Saturday and then to the pumpkin patch (more on that later). Afterwards we carved up the pumpkin we bought, ate some pizza, got some frozen yogurt and then went to bed. On Sunday we woke up, hung out, then went to McAlister's for a late lunch.

Connor had a great time playing with everyone and Paige was happy to get some attention and watch all the action. We had a great visit and appreciate them making the visit to Kansas City to see our family.

Connor spends the night with the Gobles

Connor spent Saturday night with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Amanda. They spoiled the little guy and let him eat fifty sweet rolls at Texas Roadhouse, bought him some little pumpkins, and a big truck along with some of his "guys". He had a good time with them, but when he got home he was too sidetracked to sit still for a picture. Aunt Amanda was perplexed with Andrea's antics while trying to make Connor smile so only Uncle Ryan and Sophie cooperated for the picture.

Thanks for everything guys!

Daddy + Sweet Tea + Baby Paige = WET!

Paige is very handsy lately. She likes to grab anything within reach and when we're out eating we are usually very careful to have lids on our cups in case she gets a hold of them. Today Daddy was holding Paige and didn't have the lid on his 32 oz cup of sweet tea. Paige somehow managed to pull it over so that it all went into Daddy's lap, and she only got her socks wet!

Paige is five months old!

Our baby girl is five months old!

She is growing so fast and getting so cute. We've really enjoyed Paigie Pie as an infant and baby. She is sitting up fairly well, if you help her get there. She can roll from her stomach to her back, but hasn't quite mastered back to stomach yet. She loves to grab anything within reach and wants to stuff everything in her mouth. Paige loves eating and is doing great with rice cereal from a spoon. She gobbles it up! She's eating 5-6 ounces of formula every three to four hours or so during the day. She doesn't like to miss a meal.

We took her to the doctor recently because she's had a little bit of a cold or allergies and Paige weighed 15 pounds. Big girl!

She's still sleeping well, typically 10-12 hours per night and is taking a morning and afternoon nap, usually her naps are 1-2 hours long. We thank Rachel, Paige's sitter, for getting her into a consistent sleeping routine.

Grandma Anders

We went to see Grandma Velma Anders yesterday in the nursing home. She loved visiting with baby Paige and it was great to see her again.

Pumpkin Patch! (Maybe next week)

We all got dressed up to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend, but when we went to eat at McAlister's, the wind was fierce and we almost froze walking from the car to the restaurant.

We still thought the kids looked cute though so we got a few pictures of them before taking off their cute Halloween outfits.
