Valentines kids and party!

Andrea found some cute Valentines shirts for the kids that matched, we thought they looked adorable together.

Daddy took a quick picture with his little Valentines girl before he left for work.

For Valentines day, Connor's school had a party and Mommy and Daddy both went to celebrate with our little man. He chowed down on some ice cream, then they did a heart fishing game.

This is Connor's new "picture smile". If he sees a camera pointed his way, this is the great face he makes, definitely a winner. I'm sure the ladies love this.

Connor caught TWO hearts!

Connor pulling Paige

Connor's always been a good help, although he usually seems to avoid coming in contact with Paige. Cooties are contagious you know. Well, we've been encouraging him to help out and if Paige is getting in to something, or going somewhere she's not allowed, we'll sometimes ask Connor to pull her away. He definitely can't pick her up, so this is a great way for him to move her around. She typically loves the attention from big brother too, so everyone wins!

Paige crawling for real!

Paige finally decided that she would try regular crawling and we finally caught it on video. She's been doing it from time to time when the she's in the mood, but normally she'll still do her army crawl. We waited around for hours one day with the camera and finally caught her briefly crawling properly before she reverted back to her army crawl.

Bathtime together!

Paige is taking baths in the regular bathtub now without the baby tub. She does really well in the tub now and Connor decided he'd join her since it looked like she was having fun.

Paige was absolutely thrilled. She followed him around the entire time and loved trying to play with him. Connor tolerated his little sister and had fun even though it wasn't in the big tub like he really likes.

After Paige finished up, Connor decided he needed a good shave.

Computer games

Connor loves games, but up until recently the only games he has mastered were iPhone and XBox Kinect games. This past weekend we gave computer games another try and he did really well with them. The coordination of the keyboard and mouse are pretty tricky and Connor finally mastered them and unlocked a whole new world of online games to play. A lot of his favorite cartoons have online games and he's really loved playing Backyardigans and Dora games online.

He does best with the games that are mainly keyboard based, but he's been getting better and better with the mouse as well. In the pictures, he's playing as Swiper from Dora the Explorer. He's using the arrow buttons to move Swiper and the spacebar to jump. He's also got to use the mouse from time to time to pick things out on the screen to help Swiper along.

In this video, Connor's just finished the game.

185 laps

Connor's got a few games that are his favorites recently. He likes to play rough and loves football and wrestling. Both are fairly exhausting, but not compared to his new favorite game "Race". Race typically consists of Connor determining a route and then running between the two points until you get tired of the game. This past weekend when Paige was taking a nap, Daddy decided that he would see just how long Connor would be willing to race.

Connor decided that we needed to run back and forth between the front door and the back door and we started along. Daddy kept count of each lap (one time across the house) and was pretty impressed that Connor just didn't seem to wear out. We did 185 laps before we finished the game, and mostly finished because Paige eventually woke up. Connor was pretty tired, but probably would have kept racing if he'd been asked.

Later, Daddy measured the distance and it was 26 feet for one lap. We ended up running 9/10ths of a mile! Not bad Connor!

Paige's 9 month stats

Paige went in for her 9 month appointment last week and checked out right on track.

Height: 28 1/4" 60th percentile
Weight: 18lbs 5 1/2 oz 50th percentile
Head: 17 3/4" 70th percentile

She is still army crawling around, but will sometimes get up on her hands and knees to get around. She clearly seems to think that her army crawl is still the fastest way to go. She really likes to pull up to a standing position and seems intent on learning to walk.

She's a great sleeper and eater, so far she is doing great and we have been so lucky and blessed with her.
