Elmo Show!

Yesterday we all went to see the Elmo Show at the Sprint Center. We were a little worried it would be a madhouse and super busy downtown, but it was actually not too crowded and it was very easy to get to the show. We were a little worried that we might not be able to see well since we had floor seats instead of stadium seats, but the stage was set up very nice and we were only 3 rows back.

Connor loved it. The show was 90 minutes long with a 15 minute intermission and Connor was absolutely transfixed. He was always very concerned about Elmo too. Even if there were a dozen people and animals dancing up on stage, he'd turn to Mommy or Daddy and would say "Elmo's missing!".

The show was all about imagination, and Connor's favorite part of the show was the "Elmo's World" segment. He absolutely lit up when Elmo started singing the song.

Mommy did a great job getting tickets for the show. She's knew Connor would love it!

Connor tried to play it cool during the intermission, telling Mommy he didn't like the Elmo Show, but we weren't fooled.

Connor playing around the house

It's been tough not being able to play outside this winter. Connor's found some fun stuff to do around the house though. He likes to play on Mommy's computer and watch videos (mostly of himself on the blog).

He really likes to play with the tickle box, Mickey Mouse, his train table, cars, his "guys" (Little people toys), and balls. He was kicking one of the bigger balls around the house the other day and decided that it would help if he used his hand to pull his leg up. It was pretty funny so we took a video of him doing it.

Abby and Grandma Genie's birthdays

We went to Odessa today to celebrate February birthdays. Everyone's schedules are crazy right now so we had to celebrate a little early in January.

Grandma Genie made a big turkey dinner which was absolutely delicious. We ate a lot of food, played some games, and enjoyed everyone's company.

Happy birthday Abby and Genie!

Connor visits with Drew and Allison

Drew and Allison called this week to see if Connor could come stay a day this weekend. Connor of course thought this was a great plan. Saturday he went to Drew's basketball game. After the game they played cars and watched movies. Connor had lots of fun with his favorite cousins in the whole world!

Chick-Fil-A

We went to Chick-Fil-A this week for dinner one day. Mommy happened to have our little camera in her purse so we decided to take a few pictures. Connor's favorite food right now is chicken nuggets and we all like Chick-Fil-A's yummy chicken.

Daddy came straight from work.

Connor had a lot of fun playing in the play area after we ate.

Going down the slide.

Connor was convinced there were bugs on the play equipment. There weren't any, but there were some little fuzzy bits of fabric from kids' clothes and he was sure they were bugs. We blew a few off for him, and then he started wanting us to blow on any that he saw anywhere on the playground equipment.

Tickle Box

Grandma Genie got Connor a Mickey Mouse themed playhouse and lately it's one of Connor's favorite things to play with. He likes when Daddy gets inside it and tickles him. We call it the "Tickle Box". He likes everyone to get inside with him, but it's not very big. We managed to squeeze Mommy, Daddy and Connor in it once, but Connor didn't really love that because it didn't leave much space.

He also likes when we're in it and then fall over.

Visit with Anders

Connor spent a couple nights with Grammy Genie and Grandpa Garry this week. Mommy and Daddy had busy schedules this week and we thought it was a good opportunity for him to spend some time with his grandparents. Plus, Grammy Genie had been wanting him to come and visit overnight for some time. They took great care of him and spoiled him. Connor loves his "Ga."

ENT Appointment

Connor had a follow up visit with the ENT last week. The doctor took a look at the tubes in Connor's ears and they looked very good. No blockages or any fluid build up. We've definitely noticed a change in Connor's hearing since he got the tubes in, he can hear softer sounds much better and he's been picking up a lot of new words as well.

So far so good!

Checkup checked out!

Mommy went to get a check up this past Friday and everything appears to be going fine. Baby Paige was a wiggle worm when they were trying to hear her heart beat, and the doctor had to chase her around so they could listen. Andrea is 23 weeks along now and is really starting to show. She's got back pain, and overall is feeling more uncomfortable, but she's hanging in there and is doing a great job eating well and taking care of herself.

We all love you Andrea, keep it up!! We can't wait to meet baby Paige!

Eating at Texas Roadhouse

We've been eating a lot at Texas Roadhouse since McAlister's Deli closed, and got a few gift cards for Texas Roadhouse for Christmas, so we've gone a lot lately. Connor loves the rolls with the cinnamon butter and he likes to watch the girls dance too. It's a fun place to go and we all enjoy eating there.

We went today and happened to have our camera, so we took a few pictures.

Connor coloring on the receipt. Oh no, he's going to be a lefty!!!

Watching Mickey "Doo Way"

Connor likes to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney Channel, and recently likes to watch it in Mommy and Daddy's room. Sometimes he'll relax and get comfortable, the other day he was laying back with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed. It was so cute, but we laughed so hard about it that he got up and we didn't get a picture. Mostly though, he likes to pull his step stool up next to the bed and lean onto the bed. It's his favorite way to watch his show for some reason. Doesn't look comfortable, but he likes it.

Lastly, one of his favorite sayings is "Doo Way", which is used interchangeably for "This way", "That way", etc. If you ask him where he wants to watch Mickey Mouse (Downstairs, in the Living Room, or Upstairs in Mommy and Daddy's room), he usually will just point and say "Doo Way"!

First movie

Yesterday we took Connor to the Northglen Theater to see his first movie "The Princess and the Frog". He was super scared when we first opened the door and walked in. The previews were playing and the screen was huge and the volume was turned way up. For a moment we thought our movie adventure would end right there at the door. Daddy carried Connor in and he settled down fairly quickly. Once the movie started we noticed that he was sinking into the seat and he was barely heavy enough to keep it from folding up on him. He ended up sitting in Daddy's lap the entire movie and was absolutely transfixed the entire time. He definitely is a movie fan.

Happy New Year!
