We are planning to go to Peru next week, so decided to do our family Christmas celebration a little early this weekend. Saturday evening we played dominoes together and planned to watch a Christmas movie together, but ended up watching some NFL football instead.
Sunday morning we put on our matching Christmas pajamas and took our family pic with our decorations before we opened up our gifts. The kids are getting older, so the majority of our gifts these days are clothes. My favorite gift this year was a custom Millie Mae shirt that Andrea had made for me. It has an illustrated Millie picture and is even Millie colored.
Grandpa Rick and Grandma Alice came over in the afternoon to eat some chili, watch the Chiefs, and open some more gifts. It was a cold and rainy day, so it was perfect weather for our plans. It feels a little weird celebrating Christmas so early, but we had a fun weekend together.
