Father's Day and Ponte Vedra Inn and Club
On Saturday this weekend and on Father's Day on Sunday, we went to the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.
We have been looking around at beach clubs in the area and have possibly found one we really like. We were looking for a nice club that was fairly close, had restaurants on the beach, a pool with a beach view, access to a nice beach, and all the other fun stuff a club offers. There are a number of nice ones in the area, but the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club was the one that seemed most family friendly. We toured it on Saturday and then spent a few hours exploring it and playing at the pool and beach.
On Sunday, we came back with Grandpa Rick and Grandma Alice to celebrate Father's day. We treated them to lunch, then we all played at the beach until we were exhausted. The kids had a lot of fun again, as we expected they would, and we got a better feel for the resort. Andrea and I went on a walk and saw a decent sized shark swimming around in the shallow waters on the beach. It was in surprisingly shallow water and was pretty obviously a shark with the dorsal fin and tail fin out of the water you could see how big it was.
The kids absolutely love the slide and swimming in the pool. We spent quite a bit of time at the bottom of the slide, catching them and tickling them as they came down.

Fun time. Thanks for the invite. Need lots of sun screen out there, and keep eyes open for sharks.
