It's been beautiful since the hurricane passed us. It's been cool and there hasn't been a cloud in the sky. Andrea and I played tennis this morning and then we took the kids to Valley Smoke for lunch. The Gobles came by our house after lunch and I went out on the marsh with Ryan at Tony's house. Ryan brought his fancy pedal powered kayak and Tony joined us on his standup paddleboard. We gave Ryan some distance so he could fish without us scaring off his prey and I went pretty far up Cabbage Creek almost to the bridge with Tony. Tony eventually headed back and I wandered around some of the smaller streams with Ryan and Millie before we quit for the day. It was such a beautiful and perfect day to be out in the marsh and I'm glad that Tony not only let us use their dock and boat lift, but also joined us on the water.
Andrea, Amanda, and Griffin rode the golf cart down to the dock and Andrea took a few pics and videos of us as we set off. We stayed out for a couple hours and while Ryan didn't catch anything, we had a great time out on the water. Millie wasn't super comfortable on the paddleboard at first and I could tell she wanted to swim a little, but the water was cool and she was most content when she was snuggled up in my lap.
